The Feldenkrais
Method®.

An educational approach to movement that uses gentle exploration and awareness to expand possibilities for how you move, feel, and organize yourself.

Learn through
movement.

Private & Group · All Ages & Levels

The Feldenkrais Method® is an educational approach that uses movement and awareness as a way to explore how you organize yourself in action.

Rather than asking you to copy a single “correct” movement, the practice invites curiosity, variation, and attention so that new movement possibilities can become available.

At EVIA, the Method is offered in two formats: Awareness Through Movement® group classes and Functional Integration® private lessons.

Awareness Through
Movement®.

Group · 50 min

Awareness Through Movement® (ATM®) is a verbally guided group class built around carefully designed movement sequences.

Lessons may be explored lying down, sitting, standing, or walking. There is no demonstration to copy and no single correct way to perform the lesson—the process is centered on sensing, noticing, and learning through your own experience.

As awareness increases, you may begin to notice different ways of coordinating movement, distributing effort, and approaching familiar actions.

Functional
Integration®.

Private · 50 min

Functional Integration® (FI®) is a personalized, hands-on Feldenkrais lesson tailored to your movement history, current experience, and goals.

Through gentle touch and guided movement, the session creates opportunities to notice habitual patterns and explore different ways of organizing movement with less unnecessary effort.

Lessons are performed fully clothed, usually on a low padded table and, when appropriate, in sitting or standing.

Single session — $150
10 sessions — $1,300

What is the difference between ATM® and FI®?

Awareness Through Movement® is a verbally guided group format. Functional Integration® is an individual hands-on lesson organized around one person's movement and experience.

Do I need previous movement experience?

No. EVIA's Feldenkrais offerings are suitable for different ages and levels of movement experience.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Functional Integration® lessons are performed fully clothed.

How long are the lessons?

Both Awareness Through Movement® classes and Functional Integration® private lessons are 50 minutes.

Is Feldenkrais the same as Pilates?

No. They are distinct approaches. At EVIA, both are offered as different ways to explore movement, coordination, awareness, and learning.

How do I choose between a group class and a private lesson?

Choose ATM® if you prefer a guided group exploration. Choose FI® if you want an individualized, hands-on lesson shaped around your own movement and pace.
